The recording studio

Tools of the trade. The studio runs in an Analogue and Digital environment. The connecting console is an SSL Duality SE 48 channel with exceptional DAW control. Connecting hardware and software is a Pro Tools 9 HD2 system with 3 x 192’s plus a 96k Digidesign HD interface with 1 extra analogue cards in each interface, giving the studio 56 analogue mix fader channels.

There are many vintage and modern keyboards, samplers and keyboard modules ranging from the old Roland 909 drum machine. Synthesisers range from the Profit 10 analogue snyth, through to the Nord Stage Ex 88 keyboards, Kurzweil PC3K8 and Korg M3 workstation. We have Taylor Acoustic Guitars with an Marshall Anniversary Rig, and a Mapex Drum kit with Neumann and Rode Microphones.

In the studio we take a lot of ground roots sounds and shape them with today’s technology. Mick likes to work with the vocals to colour the tracks and build sounds out of them to use as underlays and fills.
